Exam fees

Cambridge examinations occur each year in 3 sessions: March, June, and November. There are multiple levels of examination: Primary Checkpoints (in Year 6), Lower Secondary Checkpoints (in Year 9), IGCSE (in Year 11), AS Level (in Year 12), and A level (in Year 13).

For Primary Checkpoints and Lower Secondary Checkpoints, only candidates who study at our school can be enrolled. IGCSE, AS and A Level exams are available for everyone.

As a centre of examination, we also offer the opportunity to take the IGCSE, AS Level and A Level exams to Private Candidates.

Starting this year we can offer our candidates to take their exams in March to help their process of enrollment into Romanian Universities, as the certificates arrive earlier than June.

We are happy to announce that Private Candidates studying at Wolsey Hall will benefit from a 5% discount on their administrative fees starting with the March 2023 examination series.

If a Cambridge exam is cancelled due to reasons that cannot be imputed to the exam centre (Royal School in Transylvania) or if the student does not take the exam, the administrative fee will not be returned. If students enrolled in the Cambridge exams withdraw, the administrative fees will be withheld.

Students who are more than 15 minutes late for the scheduled Cambridge assessment can lose their rights to sit the exams.
