Royal School received the visit of His Excellency Andrew Noble, Ambassador of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Bucharest
Today, Royal School in Transylvania had the honour and pleasure of receiving the visit of His Excellency Andrew Noble, Ambassador of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Bucharest.
The enthusiasm shown by both teachers and students was immensurable when they saw the distinguished guest entering their school. A group of Royal School Ambassadors was there to welcome His Excellency and offer a tour of the school stopping by every classroom and important area (of course, the “usual” challenges given to every special guest, such as the invitation to hit the goal with a softball, did not lack either).
His Excellency, the Ambassador also found out some of our school’s secrets like: what is, in fact, the Aquarium, or why do we have our walls painted with favourite British cartoon characters such as Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan and Merry Poppins. His Excellency learned about the confort offered by the Nurse’s room, where each of us can find an open door in case of need, with full time medical care; about the good reason we have to keep a Londonese telephone both in the middle of our school and that if we would use the giant slide we might just end up right in front of the Big Ben that in our school did not undergo any kind of repairs and always shows the exact time.
Another ‚secret’ students might have shared is that Drama lessons, and other activities involving movement, most of the times happen right in front of the British Parliament replica, not very far from the London Eye and Tower Bridge…
