A Season of Growth

Mr. Robert King, Head of School

As we enter the festive season and look forward to the winter break and spending time with family and friends it is important to reflect upon all the events that have taken place this half term. The winter fayre being one of the highlights of this, successfully organised by the PTFA. On that note we have a newly appointed PTFA chairperson (Mrs. Socea) and members who have brought new ideas and fresh thinking to the team, being ably supported by those who are passing on the baton.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who have attended after school meetings and taken their time to learn more about the school and how to support their children. I truly believe that strong partnership between school parents and students only helps to make us a better community and more informed. With this in mind we will be sending out a survey soon to ask parents about their choice to send their child to Royal school so we can get a better understanding of not just who we are as a school but what the community is looking for in a school. This will help us to make informed decisions moving forward and understand the expectations of those within the school as well as looking to encourage more students to attend.

For our secondary students there have been a number of changes with some staff moving on and a change of timetable to accommodate this. Whilst we recognise that change can be difficult for students it is an important skill to learn to adapt to change when it happens.Embrassing change is a challenge and one that we will all face in our lives.

The Primary students, along with the years 7-9 have been busy rehearsing for Christmas performances which we all look forward to at this time of year and we have had our auditions for the school legends that will take place in 2026. It was impressive to see so many students sign up, especially some of those ones you would least expect, so a huge congratulations to all those brave enough to put their names forward and audition, even if they were not successful on this occasion.

The event will be held on Friday, 12th December. All students are encouraged to wear their favorite, or even their ugliest, Christmas jumper. For those who don’t have a jumper, there is an alternative: students may come out of uniform in exchange for a 5 lei donation, which will support the charity chosen by the Student Council for this holiday season.

Winter Fair

Winter Fair- smiles, surprises and joy!

December 5th, 2025

As every year, our school’s Winter Fair was a huge success, bringing joy and excitement to all participants! Students, parents, teachers, and the PTFA team enthusiastically got involved, preparing stalls selling Christmas decorations, toys, games, second-hand books, homemade treats, and handmade jewelry. The festive atmosphere, music, games and creative activities made the event a memorable day for the entire school community.

Our wonderful PTFA team and teachers prepared some special surprises for our students:

✨ Santa’s Corner
Christmas Cinema
Winter Raffle with Special Prizes
Photo Booth
Face Painting
Kendama Show- Special guest KTUȘA- Live Demo – Tricks – Skills -Fun

Thanks to these activities, the event was full of color, music and fun for everyone.

We want to sincerely thank all the parents who, as always, got involved and lent a helping hand, the teachers for their support and great ideas, the students for their creativity and energy, and the PTFA team for their valuable contribution and dedication to the school community. Thanks to all of you, the Winter Fair was a true celebration, filled with smiles and wonderful moments.

This is a fundraising event. The money raised, with the help of the entire community, will be used to modernize and equip the playgrounds for kindergarten and primary school students. Our main priorities are replacing the plastic flooring and purchasing a new drum set for the school band.

We are already looking forward to the next edition and are confident that it will be just as spectacular as this year’s!

Gingerbread Wonderland

Last week, Year 4’s classroom was transformed into a magical gingerbread wonderland! The children have been busy baking and decorating gingerbread treats for the Christmas Fair, filling the room with the sweet smell of Christmas and the sound of happy chatter.

With sticky chocolatey fingers, bright smiles, and sparkling eyes, the students carefully decorated their gingerbread creations, adding icing, sprinkles, and their own creative touches. It was heartwarming to see them helping each other, sharing ideas, and encouraging friends along the way.

Clay and Creativity

On October 15th, Year 5 enjoyed an exciting hands-on trip to deepen their understanding of pottery, connecting perfectly with their recent History lessons on the Neolithic period. The children had the chance to see ancient techniques in action, explore different types of pottery, and even try their hand at shaping clay themselves.
