The Black Sea Schools Group is a loose grouping of COBIS (Council of British International Schools) schools in countries around the Black Sea Region (Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine). The group works together to further enhance regional student engagement and staff professional development and networking. Black Sea Schools are supporting refugees from Ukraine in Romania through the Red Cross (Crucea Rosie Romana) and also in honour of our member school the British International School Ukraine. Please donate to support the children of Ukraine who are seeking refuge from the horrors of war and need our help.

Frequently Asked Questions

There will be a mixture of local and international teachers. We shall produce a rich blend of youth and experience. The most critical matter is that the teachers we employ are good and proven professionals. The teachers appointed will have prior experience of working in international environments and teaching the National Curriculum of England.

The school will follow the National Curriculum of England, through Key Stages 1-2-3. In the senior school, we introduce Cambridge International Examinations to IGCSE and Advanced Level. The school offer Romanian, Hungarian, German, French and Spanish language to indigenous users, along with a second modern foreign language from Year 3. Our school  offer fresh education initiatives in the fields of technology and performing arts.

The annual fee will be announced every two year until 15th of March. Please consult the Tuition Contract. This fee will be constructed to include a global price, first uniform and books, in addition to tuition. Trips and some additional clubs will be added costs.

Children will have the option to bring packed lunch but we encourage them to participate in the well planned school food offer.
